Not much excitement to bring you guys today. We are still continuing south getting ever closer to the Equator. I believe as I write this we are only a few miles away. Anticipation builds as we await the crossing ceremony and see what Dale has in store for us - keep your fingers crossed that he doesn't have anything too bad planned but he was on the hunt for food scraps earlier...

Having made it safely out of the Doldrums talk moves to our arrival time to Punta del Este. Bets have taken place onboard with the stake being not having to buy the first round!

We've been delighted to hear that you guys back home have also been taking part in a quiz. Perhaps we could trade a few questions? Polly and I ask each other a daily question of 'what do you miss most today?' Most of the time our answers range between certain food, showers or the ability to do something different like go for a walk. Today we were both in agreement that privacy/personal space was our top answer.

We've often talked about how tough the job of Victualler is and how well they are able to complete such a task but I think I can safely say that after 3 weeks of smelling garlic every time the 'fridge/freezer' is opened that even they have realised perhaps powdered garlic is a better option. Lucky for me I sleep on the other side. Dale unfortunately has it right next to his bunk. It does however create a great safety net for his stash of chocolate. There be no sneaking it out without him knowing!

Another down side to the garlic was our delightful freeze-pops, I'm not so sure raspberry and garlic go together!

That's all for now, check back tomorrow for our Equator antics!
