Day 25 on the Big Brother Liverpool 2018 Boat (Geordie accent required)

11am. ‘Sharky’ is busy cleaning under the red light which we use at night. Pink marigolds on, pumping for all he's worth. He's now on his knees as the boat has suddenly moved from 35 to 40 degrees. He's muttering something in Afrikaans which sounds like “this is exactly the experience I signed up for”.

Dan is trying to sleep. He tried the luxurious duplex for an extended break. It has optional sea view through the sail locker. Unfortunately, this option is unavailable as the sea wants to share the bunk. In addition, facilities management have forgotten to install the spiral staircase to the accommodation. Aware of the danger of mountaineering at 35 degrees he's moved to the galley and is asleep as he lies down. He's dreaming that this is the experience he signed up for.

Redman's reward for a day as ‘mother’ is ‘Mother Bunk’. It, along with mine, has the added feature of “no air”. This exciting addition was introduced post departure to ensure maximum guest experience. Red lasted just over an hour before retiring to a floorboard with a newly discovered mattress. The air loss may actually have reacted with hair loss that he experienced earlier in the day. This is the experience he signed up for.

On deck, Port watch are busy racing. It's a bit dark out there tonight but they are expertly guiding the boat through they choppy waves near the equator. They will be happily back in the saloon to hand over to Starboard watch at midday. They are looking forward to finding their sleeping facility that has been vacated by a blurry eyed Starboard who have, if they've been lucky, had 3 hours sleep. This is the experience they signed up for.

Sharky is still on his knees cleaning the heads.

Starboard watch is about to be woken by the personal alarm management team. This experience can range from a gentle whisper to a push in the face. Today Chris is on duty. It’s what we all signed up for!

12.25pm. The Mother Watch (Chris and Pier) have just served lunch to Starboard watch. Wes' fish pattie is accidentally given hot chilli sauce which is exactly what he needs in the 30-degree heat in the galley. Jonny is cleaning the heads and has better balance than Sharky.

7.30pm. Clocks have been put back an hour because we fancied a change. There is some confusion on how to turn back some of the more sophisticated watches! Carrie and Claire have to change thanks to an excellently aimed wave targeted by Pat on helm. This is the experience that they signed up for.

And so it goes on!
