Another day at the office and what an office it is! Today we have had so many variables to deal with! Windholes, tides, electrical storms and a choppy sea state... all good fun! We are still surprised and excited to be in second place and continue to fight hard. It's ironic that we are always saying winning is not our priority and that we are happy to just finish safely and happily (which is still true)... but now we that we have managed to stay competitive during this race to date and have a little taste of what it's like to be in the lead pack, a podium is our main focus!

With just 208nm to finish we are doing all we can to fend off the fleet behind us and to chase down Visit Seattle in front of us. Maybe it's true what Claire, Sarah and Jules said to us as we slipped lines in Derry-Londonderry ... "Go PSP, this is your race!" We hope so too!

We have a couple of requests!

There are two awards we are in the running for and we need your help to vote for us! If you can vote and then share the link to all your networks we really would appreciate the support.

The Henri Lloyd Seamanship Award

PSP Logistics Race Team and Max Stunell have both been shortlisted from nominations received from the public. You'll be able to read the reasons behind the nominations and register your support by 'Liking' your favourite candidate on the Henri Lloyd website here: http://www.henrilloyd.com/seamanship-16

The Henri Lloyd Clipper Race Seamanship Award has been created to recognise the lengths a crew member or team will go to help each other and/or preserve the equipment on board during the 40,000 nautical mile circumnavigation. The nomination with the highest number of likes will be selected and receive a small trophy, as well as having their name engraved on the base of the original trophy. They will also win £250 in Henri Lloyd vouchers.

The nominees are featured on the website and voting closes on Sunday 24 July at 1800 BST.

The award will be presented at the Race Finish Prize Giving celebrations at St Katharine Docks, London on Saturday 30 July.

The second award is the Stormhoek Social Spirit Award.

We have previously won this award for our efforts in saving two turtles and now we think we deserve to win it for our never give up attitude, showing true sportsmanship and spirit despite being consistently at the back of fleet. To vote for us please visit the Stormhoek Wines Facebook page, post a nomination under the latest Social Spirit post and again, share the link with your networks. If we can win two more Stormhoek awards, we will also receive a party for crew, friends and family at Race Finish.

Thanks for your support as always!
