What a treat PSP Logistics experienced today... the sight of land, and what a moral booster that has been! There was talk of heading for land, docking somewhere nearby and finding the nearest pub to stop for a meal and a drink before continuing on. There was also talk of getting fresh supplies brought to us by water taxi as we are being threatened with having to eat chicken tiles (dehydrated canned chicken cut into the shape of small tiles) if we stay out here much longer.

We have finally rounded Tory Island and now head towards Rockall, which incidentally we have re-named 'Nowhere'. So it was fitting to request the Talking Heads classic, 'We're on the road to nowhere' (our latest unofficial boat song) at our impromptu party tonight. There was music, dancing and popcorn (made by Martin B) but unfortunately no glow sticks... we will have to check with Conor (Leg 5) to see whether it still constitutes a party if there are no glow sticks.

At our happy hour today we were (mostly) all positive about the situation we are in (race extension) and the phrase "It is what it is" was used... A LOT! There is nothing we can do about it so in true PSP Logistics spirit we are just getting on with it. Having said that, I am not really looking forward to seeing the lead boats pass us on their way back from 'Nowhere' but it is definitely interesting keeping track of the close racing they are having, should be a nail biting finish for them.

We have spotted the most wildlife all leg in the last couple of days, including whales, dolphins, a seal, even a penguin plus many other sea birds.

We were expecting a storm to arrive around midnight tonight but as I sit and write this (at 1:36am) it has not yet arrived. We are currently sailing with a full main and the wind seeker, in 7 knots apparent enjoying the evening and really enjoying the flat boat (but not the speed)!

This allows for perfect sleeping conditions and Shouty McWindhole

(Max's newest nickname courtesy of Jaz) is currently making the most of this calm patch, catching up on his zzzz's and probably dribbling on his pillow...

Leaving you with a mental image of this, I am signing off!
