Day 19 in the Big Brother House!

I thought that by this point I would be super tired, drained and quite frankly a bit of a sweaty mess. However, other than the latter, it is fair to say that with Roy's generous watch change (each watch being halved whilst under motor) we are all incredibly well rested and boat maintenance is in full swing.

We have been busy milking spinnaker sheets, repairing sail bags and, arguably the most important of maintenance, servicing the heads (toilets). This job was not for the faint-hearted and it's fair to say we have a great team of people ready to lend a helping hand. A special mention to David 'Engines' Wilson, James 'Bilge Master' Hetherton and Nigel 'Silverback' Holcombe for doing a splendid job and putting Mr Muscle to shame.

This afternoon brought us all a brief but free shower from the heavens and this evening doesn't seem any different as I sit here listening to the rain hitting the deck from the navigation station. Despite the rain, the humidity is very high as my watch currently says is 33 degrees C below deck at 20:30!

In other news, the Mothers have been busy baking in the galley and we have been enjoying some lovely bread by our Master Baker John Roundhill. Whilst proving his bread I gatecrashed to turn my roll into a hedgehog, chopping spikes into the dough with scissors and adding currants for eyes, just as my mum taught me when I was a kid! Furthermore on the food front, I came across some ice pops in a hidden locker, much to my delight I quickly found room in the freezer and look forward to bringing them out for everyone tomorrow at lunch. Little things like ice lollies make a good day into a great day in these tropical climates.

Lots of love from Team PSP.
