Independence Day

To all our American friends and supporters, have a wonderful 4th July/ We are happy to have let you go, it has all worked out in the end. On board the mighty PSP Logistics, there was an outburst of USA patriotism and an attempt to dump all the Tea Bags overboard by our resident West Coaster, Dave Wilson. This was tharwted by prompt action from the crew. who moved almost as blindingly fast as they move to their sail trimming positions to keep our boat moving as fast as possible.

We are sailing towards Derry, now only a few days away, windholes permitting. Over the last 24 hours we have had a great tussle with GREAT Britain who are currently a few miles behind us. The competitive spirit is alive and well here. Everyone has contributed to get the maximum speed and the laughter and banter just continues to flow. Thoughts are turning towards pints of the Black Stuff and an Ulster Fry but we have some sailing to do before that becomes a reality.

Foods has been outstanding on this leg, with returnee David Lawson showing us his kitchen prowess. Black Pepper chicken, casseroles, pancakes and bread have all made appearances and tonight we have Irish Stew.

With best wishes to all. .
