This shall be the first of a few nondescript posts. In all minimisation and reduction to the essentials, as we run on a back up communication system.

An eventful productive day was had on Unicef accompanied by sun. A mast climb to swap spinnaker halyards mid flight of the medium weight was made just after breakfast. Rapid emergency emptying of the bilges was carried out as the boat filled itself up with a slip of the fire hose.

While the third shift lay claim to our worst spinnaker wrap yet in the calm of the day, with a controlled drop straight into the sail locker. Despite the activity, the maturity of our crew handled all situations calmly as we do in another day in the South Atlantic. Dan and Peter, our watch leaders were Mothers today too, managing to balance feeding us and supporting the sailing effort. All is well and optimistic with decent speeds. Six sail changes later.
