Come and learn more about what must be one of the most exciting low carbon, resource efficient races in the world from Crew Recruitment and Development Director David Cusworth and founder of Mission Performance Rob Lewis.

Circumnavigator David Cusworth was a race participant in 2002 and will sail you through the world's longest yacht race while he gives insights into the design of the stripped down, state of the art Clipper 70s explains crew team building and race strategies - less weight equals more competitive, but means difficult decisions on clothing, equipment and even in meal rations - there are no stores on the oceans to buy a pint of milk or pick up new parts.

Director and founder of Mission Performance Rob Lewis, a race team sponsor and race learning and development partner has a background in Arctic exploration, leading Royal Marine Commandos and working with businesses globally to take the learning from high performance teams in extreme environments and helping them transfer that learning into the business world. Rob will provide insights into the research and learning. Four weeks on a Clipper 70 is the equivalent to a year in an office environment.

Their leadership models are now being adopted by leading brands/companies across the globe - teams know what to do when the chips are down!
