The brand new Clipper 70 at St Katharine Docks is still making an impression as the event-filled week continues until Sunday.

The new 70-foot yacht is currently berthed at the docks close to Tower Bridge with open boat tours available for members of the public keen to get a closer look at the ocean racer.

The boat is open for tours on Friday (18) and Sunday (20) during the times detailed below.

Meanwhile, Crew Recruitment Manager, David Cusworth, has been inundated with requests for more information on how to take part in the world’s longest yacht race.

“The amount of interest in the race while the new Clipper 70 has been at St Katharine Docks has been excellent,” explains David, who completed a circumnavigation in the 2002 edition of the Clipper Race.

“The whole week has been the ideal showcase for the Clipper 70 and the appetite for crew berths is great.

“Over thirty people have been interviewed for the next edition of the race and we’re receiving over 100 enquires a day from the Greater London area,” he added.

The next edition of the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race starts in the summer and berths are filling fast. If you are interested in taking part in the race, click here to request more information.
