New television series starts global screening

The six-part television series which follows the action of the Clipper 11-12 Round the World Yacht Race has started to receive its first transmissions.

It is a second series of Against the Tide, the highly acclaimed action adventure documentary following Clipper Race crew taking on the challenge of ocean racing, many for the first time.

The first series was shown in 126 countries throughout the world on a range of Discovery Networks channels and other international broadcasters such as ESPN, Star Sports, Fox Sports and SuperSport. It reached a cumulative global audience in excess of 600 million people.

Against the Tide 2, has started to be shown on the Discovery World network in Europe, Middle East and Africa and showcases the human drama of taking on the world's longest yacht race. 

The six hour-long programmes are being shown on Fridays in selected Discovery World territories.  We'll announce further details about the UK premiere of the series and transmissions in North and South America and Asia-Pacific countries as soon as we have them. Viewers should check their local listings for further information.
