Race Director Justin Taylor has informed the fleet of the penalty points they have incurred during Legs 2 and 3 due to damage to the boats, equipment and sails during racing  - shaking up the leaderboard once again.

The Race Committee keep a running total of the total costs of lost and damaged equipment and impose penalties points as required.

Race Director, Justin Taylor, said, “The penalty points system is a way promoting good seamanship by reminding and encouraging the fleet to look after their equipment and sails. In this case the penalty points have really impacted the positions on the overall leaderboard.”

The penalty points mean that Derry~Londonderry~Doire has moved into third place with GREAT Britain slipping into fourth position. To view the overall race standings and applied penalty points please click here
