Two days to go until Crew Allocation – race teams revealed

In just two days, more than 600 international race crew members, family and friends will gather in Portsmouth, UK for Crew Allocation to discover which skipper will lead them around the world in the 2015-16 race.

Race Chairman Sir Robin Knox-Johnston and Race Director Justin Taylor will lead the day, introducing the twelve elite skippers and their race teams, as well as the latest race announcements which will include the start and finish location, latest Team Sponsor and race updates.

“This is an exciting day for the Clipper Race crew members as they discover who they will be sharing their adventure with over the next year,” says Sir Robin Knox-Johnston.

“As well as making the first team bonding steps, this is also the first opportunity for teams to start shaping their strategy and goals, and plan how to get the best from their race. As the big day draws closer, the thrill and anticipation is building for both crew members and their skippers.”

Representatives from Race Partners Henri Lloyd, Stormhoek, ClipperTelemed+, the marine travel company, Marlow, Hyde and Chartco will also be present to display their products, meet crew members, answer questions and discuss their involvement in the race.
