Pretty cool sailing today past the Hebrides, my favourite place was the Butt of Lewis (I just like saying butt), then across the top of the Minch. I think that would be a good band name - the Butt of Lewis and the Minch.

We have got boats all around us. At the last count I saw 10, so nice close sailing, but it will all change soon as we get to the Pentland Firth.

We are now drifting around, there are boats all around us all going different directions on the same tack or gybe, with a combination of lightweight spinnakers, windseekers and Yankee 1's.

We sailed past another of my new favourite headlands - this one was called Ushat headland, the scenery is nice and we can see it now that the rain has cleared.

The tide should turn again soon and hopefully that will allow us to get round Pentland Firth. One nice thing about being this north is that the night shift is very short.

The sun is shining and the sky is blue so happy days.

Cheers, Wendo
