We got through Pentland Firth eventually with the tide - what a beautiful spot - we had clear blue skies and flat water and it didn’t live up to all the warnings but I’m kind of glad.

We are now bashing into headwinds with the fleet still all pretty close. It was a beautiful day’s sail yesterday which couldn’t be more different now, rain, poor visibility and just not that pleasant.

We are all looking forward to Den Helder which isn’t that far away now.

Better go - I should be up on deck.
