It’s been an interesting 24 hours. It started off with a thunderstorm, as I was writing yesterday’s blog. I saw lightning out of the nav hatch, it brought with it a bit of wind and by the time I got on deck the reef had already been put in, then it passed over and was gone as a single cell thunderstorm will do.

Then we had it on the nose with a nasty little swell, short and crashy, life was back on the north face. Then over the course of the day it would die out to nothing, the threat of the windseeker on deck was usually enough for it to build again and we would be off.

The last two position reports have been kind to us, so fingers crossed we haven’t lost out in the last six hours. We have been chasing down PSP Logistics, (morning Skipper Max), for quite a while now. It is nice having a target to chase.

The crew is especially happy this morning as it’s bacon day, not me as I’m a vego, and Den Helder is getting closer and closer.

Now less than 170NM to go, anything can still happen as we have a big light patch up ahead, we just got to keep the boat moving. We are still sailing under spinnaker, all is well at the moment.

Love youse all, Wendo
