We had to deal with a couple of light wind patches yesterday while we watched other boats sail away almost twice as fast which was a bit annoying. We have been going ok through most of the night and now certainly beating into it now. A heavy rain squall with gusts of 40 knots and close lightning came across us at around 0500 this morning and we have been sorting sails since.

We are expecting these two cold fronts to bring more of the same throughout the day. We'll continue making best progress south into a building sea state and deal with the conditions that pitch up. Similar to any other day really.
