An interesting day has been had on Mission Performance today, coming through the Pentland Firth was at first frustrating which turned into exhilarating as we came through the acceleration zone of the tide between mainland Scotland and the island of Stroma. Mission Performance was the only boat that chose to take this more direct route, which was a bit of a gamble but seemed to pay off. Then the long slog down the North Sea towards Den Helder and our penultimate stopover.

The race is still afoot and we still have many gains that can be made. We are all feeling good about this race and will continue to fight until the war is over in true Warrior fashion!

Today also saw our first fruit crumble (apple and pear) in a few races which was delicious and thanks to Mothers Leg 6-8 Warrior Tamsin Hilton and Leg 6 & 8 Warrior Michelle Van Den Bergh. They even made custard. No easy feat in the conditions we had!

Until tomorrow...
