The nominations are out for the Henri Lloyd Seamanship award and I would like all Mission Performance Warriors and supporters world-wide, to vote for Gavin Reid as the recipient. I put in the nomination and I believe that he was absolutely key in making sure that guy got down the mast safely with little injury. The team were just doing what I told them, but it was Gavin that had to think on his feet...or halyard at the time, in order to complete the job that I had told him to do. Good luck Gav.

Another frustrating day on Mission Performance. I go to bed for 3 hours after not sleeping in 24 hours and I wake up to Unicef being 3NM in front of us (morning Skipper Cloughy and team) after, they were a mile behind us when I finally succumbed to sleep!

AsI speak we are in another wind hole, the saving grace is that everyone around us is in the same wind hole, which gives us a chance to claw back some greatly needed miles.

On the up-side, dinner tonight was a beef Thai curry and was absolutely delicious. For afters the mothers prepared a beautifully moist chocolate cake with tinned thick cream. Wasn't sure about the tinned cream but it was lovely and set the cake off very nicely.

The wind here at the moment is a bit shifty and we are actively looking for clouds to get ourselves tangled up in to create more wind than the boats around us, not working so well at the moment.

I would just like to make a point from the other day. Skipper Max suggested that I called him to gloat when his kite spectacularly blew-up! It was devastating to watch, knowing what they were going through, especially as we have blown a number of kites since leaving London. So our hearts went out to you Max and PSP Logistics in that radio call my friend, we were thinking of you at that stressful time. The gloating didn't pass until you were sailing again with your staysail up and we passed you! There was real love for you there mate!

Until tomorrow...
