It's definitely wetter and colder as we climb further north. Making our way through these weather systems has been painful slow as the wind has been coming from where we want to go. The nights are short as our local time synchronizes with UTC for the first time in a long while, (Cape Town I think). That should make sending these blogs on time more manageable, in theory...

Circumnavigator Alan Manson has calculated that he has quite possibly done his last mother duty of the race. He went out in style, with pancakes, yoghurt and fruit salad for breakfast. Tuna pasta bake followed by corn beef hash and beans for lunch, (effectively double lunch for those who wanted), and a fillet steak with roast potatoes for dinner. Dessert was a selection of cakes. We have been eating well, will have to renew that gym membership when I get home at this rate!
