An enjoyable but slow day with lots of tide and variable wind. We have now travelled through the highest latitude of the race so far and soon we will cross the Greenwich Meridian Line - an accomplishment the crew should be proud of.

Someone (we have a no blame culture) has managed to bring a cold onto the boat and now 3/4s of the crew has it. There is moaning and groaning and obviously the men are suffering more as they always do. Unfortunately there are no sick days on the boat, we all just have to get on with it. Despite this spirits are high as we can see other Clipper 70 boats and are holding our own for once.

There are advantages to having a professional chef on board and yesterday we were treated to some excellent meals courtesy of Paul Wrightson (Legs 4 & 8).

300 nautical miles to go anything can happen... oh wait we've just found a wind hole, standard.
