Great to see the fleet making its way into Cape Town. This is great for us because as each boat makes its way in, we move up on the six hourly position reports - we're currently down as fourth lol!!

Well 2000 nautical miles to run to the finish line, still in champagne conditions, but expecting our appointment with Mother Nature in the small hours of Friday morning and expecting the front to pass over us sometime Friday evening.

Still on for Friday 27th October, but hoping to make this an early arrival (daylight without rain would be very nice).

Saddened and quite distressed to report that a number of crew have been caught with 'crocs n socks'.

List of defaulters thus far!!

Chris Parnell (ex-navy so understandable)
Matteo Grassi (Italian for Gods sake! Inexcusable)
Nigel 'Silverback' Holcombe (No hope)
David Kemp (Lives in the states so bound to pick up a few bad fashion tips)

Punishment to be witnessed at two bells in the forenoon watch!! (0900, you landlubbers!!)

Wives please feel free to disown these vile creatures!!!!!

Clearly the Kobusch fashion is becoming contagious!! Could he be the new 'Hoff'?

Now 0130 UTC Friday, the wind is increasing and so are the waves. All in the direction that we want to go. Starting to get a few good surfs towards Cape Town and feeling quite pleased with ourselves that we got the Yankee 1 down and away before sunset.

A delicious teriyaki pork with noodles cooked by our Victualler Julie Spicer and ably assisted by our Engineer David Wilson, followed by tinned fruit for duff.

Stay safe,
