The rounding of Rockall was somewhat of an anti-climax due to the distance of our rounding and misty rain. We dropped our medium-weight kite and hoisted our Yankee 2 in preparation of the weather fronts due to the pass through after we cleared the rock. We have since been under Yankee sails, all day the wind angle has been too poor for spinnakers. We eventually put in our first reef of the race as the wind speed rose and the lee rail went under.

Although the weather has been grey and wet it hasn’t dampened our spirits as we head towards Derry-Londonderry and the ‘LegenDerry’ stopover.
