One hour to the finish line and breakfast is being served…pancakes, streaky bacon and maple syrup, all served up in the nav area where some newly won silverware is laid in readiness to assist in its consumption. A day of light airs yesterday had us on our toes and the high centre was trying its best to catch us.

A gybe at the right time kept us clear and during the evening, with an amazing backdrop of the rigs, the wind slowly filled and we have managed to escape. A few other sadly haven't. One dash left and then back to earth...

Farewell to Capitan Kermit and Lieutenant Bornhowler and fond memories of the voyages of Le Maximus and HMS Unicorn. A rock climbing holiday in the Pyrenees awaits followed by a relief stint on Jolie Brise.

All good, Cloughy
