Leg 1, 6, 7 and 8 crew member Emily Bambridge’s birthday and the American celebration of July 4th meant that yesterday was a day of facepaint, flags and cake. For a sailing boat on the Atlantic it was remarkably calm and that made for quite an easy day. The sun was out too which was a nice change.
A few more days like that and we'll be tucked up nicely in Ireland, we're all looking forward to that now.
