Over the last few days we've really just been getting on with it, nothing remarkable and so not much to report. Only now is it starting to show that we have been quietly taking some miles out of the boats in front and with less than 500 miles to the finish we have less than 50NM to both Qingdao and Mission Performance. It's not the first time that we find a bit of form towards the end of the race so we'll see what's possible over the next two days.
We also saw the leading three boats on their return trip from Rockall, it's all a little close for comfort there, it would be fun to join in but equally it's not like we're having a bad time of it out here either.
Once we're past the rock we hope to have a little wind shift to let us carry a kite all of Wednesday and Thursday until the wind goes all light and fluffy. That's the plan at least.
