There goes one of the strangest days sailing I might have ever had. The wind just couldn't make its mind up and we've had it from all directions over the course of the day. The odd thing was that it just wouldn't settle so we went from being on the limit of holding our sail plan to totally stopped and back again almost every half hour.

In situations like this it's best to be lazy so we stuck up the sails and occasionally our heads in the sand and powered through, reacting to the changes with more tacks and gybes than a full on training day in the Solent. It feels like we have done more in 24 hours than we needed to do for the entire Atlantic crossing we just did.

Big drama is on the way as the best deck speaker isn't charging anymore; happily we have a few smaller ones for now and with Meatloaf doing his thing on deck we must be going fast again.
