Over two years since last writing one of these, and nice to have Muriel back onboard organising all the media at the same time as losing all her kit – think she has mislaid salopettes, sleeping bag and a camera so far. That said she now takes the lens camera cap off more often than not when taking a photo. Stop press – now she has lost her toothpaste.
Well into Leg 7 now as we head down to Panama. Crew in good spirits and it has been pretty easy so far, haven’t put a reef in as yet… careful what you wish for.
Also great to see Tim Burke and Jules Kerr return, both good helms that can cover my deficiencies.
New crew overall is excellent and doing the victualling in Seattle was massively helped by the efforts of Estelle Mutum, Mike Sotir’s wife Terry and son Daniel – as well as current crew getting involved as necessary.
I am keeping a blog and generally post an update every stopover, if you are struggling to get to sleep do have a read.

P.S. Comments from Muriel: “Since I am the one editing all the blogs and transmitting them :) I must admit I “misplace” things… sometimes :) but there is often a reason. When we are mothers (cooking for the whole team) we change bunks with all our required stuff to have a full night sleep until… 4:45am! One good thing is that eventually you find all your things again… when we do the deep clean in Bermuda! That being said, these little stories make us all laugh (me included!) I am thinking of putting a prize in place for the one who finds my things :)”
