Australian Coral Sea; S024:02’ / E154:40 ’
Since my last blog, we spent Christmas and New Year well south of Australia in the cold Southern Bight.
Now, after a great stopover in Newcastle – a very genuine working town with old and modern – (helped by another race win) we are heading North up to Airlie Beach near the beautiful Whitsunday’s Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. And It’s getting hotter by the day!
- It was too cold, now it’s too hot!
- It was too windy, now we’re in a wind hole!
- It was healing over at 40 degrees (life is hard), but now it is flat (easy but slow)
- We’re longing to get into the next Port. Once there, after a few days of replenishing, we’ll have itchy feet and want to get going again.
Life at Sea and sailing generally seem to go that way – always wanting something else?
We’re so lucky to be able to go on this adventure, and it feels wrong to always want the other – cherish what you have!.
