Good afternoon,
We are back with a new blog. Today is the 16th of May. I am on galley duty. I have been looking forward to this duty from the moment we started with Cluedo. You can read in the blogs from Marleen and Laura about the game. I want to give you an inside from the killer’s perspective. I have to murder Sjaak. Sjaak is my friend so it's hard to kill someone you really like.
Sjaak is on a different watch. So that means we don’t see each other that much. When I am awake he is asleep. So I had to time my murder well.
To give you some information on how I had to kill him. I had to kill by the mast with a bilge bucket. The mast is long, it runs down from the deck to down below. That makes it a little easier. But still, the problem is that Sjaak is my friend. You don’t kill your friends, right? So I waited some days as I thought about the situation. In the meantime, Sjaak made an attempt to kill another friend of mine with a bottle of WD40 in the engine room. So now I got the feeling that he had to kill someone I liked. You can not say 100% because you can also prank someone.
So today I had the best opportunity so I chopped the knot, today is Sjaak’s last day in the game! I prepared well and I thought about it a lot.
Because I made the food today, I need some vegetables. So I put the vegetables in the bilge bucket between the mast and the galley. Sjaak also has a duty today. He does stock rotation which means he has to check the vegetables and fruit. This is very convenient for me as he is exactly where I want him to be. Now I only have to wait for the right moment.
In the meantime, Jan and I were on galley duty until Joss Albatross came in the galley. He hears us talking about the vegetables we need. He suggested we let the people from stock rotation do their duty. Well, that is of course okay by me!
My heart was in my throat when Sjaak came down. I let him pass me and walked behind him. Little did he know that I was going to stab him in the back. I asked him for the bilge bucket right in front of him. I told him there were some leftovers I had to get rid of. He, smart as he is, set the bilge bucket in front of me on the ground as he only dies when both people hold the object. I took the bilge bucket and I thought that my chance was gone. Then I remembered that the bilge bucket had to go back to the mast after emptying it. So I took the vegetables out and walked back with the bilge bucket to the mast, where my friend was still standing. At that moment we started heeling all of a sudden. So, I overdramatised the situation a little bit and pretended that I lost my balance. Then I gave him the bucket. A woman in need. He took it from my hands and that was the moment I killed him. It felt terrible but I had to. Now I cannot look him in the eye. He looked so disappointed that he was not in the game anymore. Well, I think I have to buy him a beer in Panama. Then he will be fine again.
Oh and if you are asking, we are also still racing.
