Dear all watching the race,

(Skipper on duty)

It’s Bridget and Donna reporting from shark-invested Caribbean sea. We’ve been followed about by some white tipped sharks in this becalmed stretch. We went from 45 degree heel and 28 knot winds during breakfast to flat calm sea and no wind for the rest of the day. Chris has kept the team focused on helming the boat in the scorching heat, watching the sharks circling our boat.

All day Unicef has been in sight of us, which is still lovely to see another boat and Imagine your Korea has slowly come into sight directly behind us.

(New AQP on duty)

As we all sat on deck this evening there was a quiet moment when we all watched the beautiful sunset listening to the gentle creaking of our yacht, as we flipped burgers makeshift bbq hanging over the stern sipping cold beers…if only!

Bridget was super excited by the sighting of a pod of rather large whales and as she ran across the deck in her bright yellow Jimmy Choo’s she almost became shark for, but open hatch which snuffled her excitement somewhat. Mike who was napping in the sail locker doubled up as an excellent crash mat.

There is Irish music coming from the galley where mothers who have sweated their body weight out are keeping us fed. Karolina, our Swedish crew member and mother today made us some special Swedish flag day cake. We are all feeling amazing and loving ourselves silly. Kisses to you all darlinks xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
