Qingdao has won!

In this race, we went from being wet and cold at the beginning to the current scorching heat, and have been in the wind tunnel for the past week. We have been in fierce competition with Ha Long Bay, Viet Nam, and finally crossed the line first and won the championship. I am very honoured to be able to share this moment with everyone in the name of the ambassador crew of Qingdao. The next stage will start from Panama to Washington, D.C. I hope we can continue our efforts and let Qingdao return to the sea again and break the waves from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean.

This stretch gave us our second First-Place finish and our fourth top-three finish of the season. When we crossed the line, I was very moved when the crew members from all over the world and speaking various languages cheered for Qingdao. The time span of this period is not short. From North to South, we have experienced a lot of weather changes in the past three weeks. We have put on and off our sailing clothes; the last few days of sailing in the windless zone have also been very interesting. There were challenges, the breeze combined with the sweltering heat made everyone suffer. But we were still able to achieve such good results and turn the tide at the last moment. As one of the shift leaders for this period, I am really proud of our team. From the Skipper and First Mate to every crew member, they stuck to their posts until the end!
