Hi all from the Caribbean! We are well in the mix here and enjoying being able to race with other boats nearby, it definitely trains the mind a bit more when you can see other white sails, or at night navigation lights. We are making our way through the Islands with Cuba currently to Port, we have

five options after we clear Cuba and it looks like we still have all to play for so it will be an interesting time to watch the Race Viewer I'm sure.

In boat life we have been adjusting to living at a heel once again, and having our bunks raised high with our lee clothes tied tight. Thankfully the air has cooled and we have slightly more air flow down below so at least sleeping conditions, although at a severe angle, are slightly more conducive to a more rested crew. However saying that, we are currently slightly more downwind so the writing of this blog is slightly less hampered by the angle and the necessity to wedge yourself in the nav station.

Despite the slightly cooling conditions I am still living in a bikini top and shorts (lifejacket too of course!) There has been much debate on my clothing choices, I tend to opt for less clothing when it is raining as it's easy enough to dry and easier to change if needed. Quite often I am used as one extreme of our watch; when the other is wearing full foulies and even wooly hats! (There was a great photo of us in the Panama Canal showing the extremes as such.)

So now there is a sweepstake, OK so no money has been agreed, but people are putting bets on which state will be when I don more clothing... If nothing it has improved our knowledge of the States of America and where they are positioned. Stay tuned we'll let you know who wins!
