Crew Diary - Motley Crew

We have an extra crew on board

Her name is Maeva and she’s here to record

To film the things we do

Even though we are a Motley Crew

With camera in hand she’s ready to shoot

And catch the highlights of the Black Betty boat

To create a record of what we do

So family and friends can see it's true

The life we go through

To catch things funny and sad, the sky, the sea

And the crew, the good and the bad

The camera doesn’t lie so people can believe

When we tell them that was us on that sea

When the camera is out

It must go to your head

And some crew grow an extra leg

They grind really fast and race to sweat

And don’t mind getting really wet

But best of all will be when we get home

The videos will be there to reflect on

And show the Grandie’s

That was us out there, Grandad growing lots of hair

And hanging on for dear life

To keep Black Betty out of strife

And Maeva has done a great job

To catch what’s true

And record the life of a Motley Crew
