Back to archiveAfter competing in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race crew members continue to achieve remarkable goals, often inspired by the challenges they faced during the world’s longest yacht race.
Singapore round the world crew member Will Parbury is no different. The Australian, a chef and diving instructor before joining the Clipper 11-12 Race, completed his Yachtmaster qualification during pre-race training and will soon start another exciting voyage.
The 37-year-old is set to take part in the two-handed race from Melbourne, Australia to Osaka, Japan at the end of March before undertaking a six-month Pacific odyssey.
“I have strong seamanship, navigation and heavy weather sailing experience in some of the most challenging oceans in the world. I gained three Atlantic crossings, the Southern Ocean and the North Pacific crossings during the Clipper Race to name the major ones.”
