PSP Logistics and Team Garmin arrive in Cape Town
Back to archiveAfter an eventful arrival day yesterday PSP Logistics and Team Garmin crossed the finish this morning.
Table Mountain provided the perfect backdrop into the V&A Waterfront as PSP Logistics crossed the line first at 01:38:00 UTC with Team Garmin not far behind crossing the line at 03:56:00 UTC.
Skipper of PSP Logistics, Chris Hollis said on his arrival, “It was a really hard race, we decided to go for the Rhumb Line tactically, which worked really well for us for two thirds of the race. We tried to pick a route that was more advantageous, but unfortunately the wind filled in across the board so the teams further south had the same problems as us. We relinquished our lead of the race which we held for the majority of it. It was a pretty tough race but the team sailed really well, and completed each evolution effortlessly.”
The ETAs for the remaining teams are as follows:
Jamaica Get All Right - 27 Oct 1700 – 1600 UTC
