ClipperTelemed+ resumes racing
17 October 2015
ClipperTelemed+ suspended racing this morning (UTC) and engaged the motor while recovering crew member Alex Laline, who is uninjured, after losing grip of the mast while attempting to fix a broken halyard strop. He was tethered to the rig and is reported to be OK apart from some scratches and minor impacts.
Fittingly our remote telemedicine service ClipperTelemed+ was consulted at the PRAXES Medical operations centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, to clarify the on board medical assessment had been thorough in ruling out major injury.
Next of kin informed and all crew safe and well, the team will resume racing imminently after returning to the position they suspended racing.
