Former crew member Caroline Marrows launches exciting new race division
26 November 2014
Fresh from life at sea on the last edition of the race,
round the world crew member Caroline Marrows has joined the Clipper Race team in
a new role which will see her helping to further celebrate the achievements of its
unique and hardy group of adventurers.
As senior propositions manager, Caroline is working with former Clipper Race
crew members and supporters to develop valuable new business opportunities and
international networking events specifically for its alumni group of past and
future crew, and race sponsors, and is calling for more crew join up and get
involved.
To become a
Clipper Race crew member is to become part of a very special club of people who
share a thirst for adventure and challenge. Over 3,000 people have taken part
in the Clipper Race since the first edition in 1996. With planning for the
tenth anniversary edition of the race currently underway, Caroline is inviting former
crew to be at the centre of the festivities and to share how taking part in the
race has helped achieve further extraordinary accomplishments since their race
experience.
Building on existing Clipper Race initiatives, Caroline will be
launching an Alumni Networking Group on LinkedIn to support past crew, sponsors
and clients to expand their professional networks and access advice and
opportunities from other like-minded people in their working environment via their
unique Clipper Race link.
Caroline says:“The race has so many opportunities for its past crew to unite and celebrate their achievement, whilst also expanding their own personal and professional networks. I am very much looking forward to connecting with fellow crew spanning nine editions of the race to find out more about their inspirational stories.”
Prior to joining the Clipper Race, Caroline specialised in customer and stakeholder management, retention and proposition development, working as a Senior Branch Experience Manager for Lloyds Banking Group, where she was tasked with building and delivering the company’s London 2012 sponsorship activation plans in UK branches, and raising awareness of community based activities.
