Nominations Open For Race 5 Stormhoek Social Spirit Award

It has been a remarkably quick Sydney Hobart Race with records being broken and the leaders of the Clipper 70 fleet finishing just over three days after setting out on Boxing Day. But the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race is about more than just winning…and it is time once again to open up nominations for the Stormhoek Social Spirit Award for Race 5!

The Stormhoek Social Spirit Award celebrates the team spirit of the crew and gives Clipper Race followers the chance to nominate the team they believe has shown real strength throughout each of the 13 individual races. The award is open to teams regardless of finishing position and the prize is a Stormhoek Social Spirit pennant to decorate the yacht and widespread recognition across the fleet.

Race 2: PSP Logistics

Race 3: The Clipper Race Family

Race 4: Sanya Serenity Coast

Race 5 has been a short one by Clipper Race standards but the teams have found the time to share their experiences with those back home and you can read all the Crew Diaries on the Clipper Race website.

In order to nominate the team you would like to win the Stormhoek Social Spirit Award for Race 5, log on to the Stormhoek Wines Facebook page, submit your nomination and reason why. Nominations will close on Tuesday 2 January 2018 before the fleet departs Hobart for the Whitsundays a few days later.
