Nominations Open For Race 6 Stormhoek Social Spirit Award

It’s the third and final stage of the All-Australian Leg and it’s time once again to open up nominations for the Stormhoek Social Spirit Award for Race 6: The Wondrous Whitsundays Race!

The Stormhoek Social Spirit Award celebrates the team spirit of the crew and gives Clipper Race followers the chance to nominate the team they believe has shown real strength throughout each of the 13 individual races. The award is open to teams regardless of finishing position and the prize is a Stormhoek Social Spirit pennant to decorate the yacht and widespread recognition across the fleet.

So far, the winners have included:

Race 1: Greenings

Race 2: PSP Logistics

Race 3: The Clipper Race Family

Race 4: Sanya Serenity Coast

Race 5: [To be announced at the Whitsundays Prize Giving]

The Clipper Race fleet is making its way up the east coast of Australia and is expected into Abell Point Marina, Airlie Beach in the Whitsundays between 13 – 15 January 2018. In the meantime, the crew on board have been sharing their experiences with those back home through Crew Diaries on the Clipper Race website.

In order to nominate the team you would like to win the Stormhoek Social Spirit Award for Race 6, log on to the Stormhoek Wines Facebook page, submit your nomination and reason why. Nominations will close on Saturday 13 January 2018.

Nominations for Race 5 have already closed and the winner of both the Race 5 and Race 6 Stormhoek Social Spirit Award will be announced at the Whitsundays Prize Giving.
