PSP Logistics - Back at sea after successful repairs

UPDATE - 0530 UTC /0230 LOCAL TIME THURSDAY 8 OCTOBER
CV22 PSP Logistics has returned to sea to resume racing following replacement of a failed shackle on the running backstay. While a rig check was completed successfully by Clipper Race maintenance team the crew effected repairs to the foredeck. All work completed by approximately 0130 local time.
UPDATE - 0400 UTC / 0100 local time: REPAIRS UNDERWAY
Rig check complete and all reported OK on CV22, PSP Logistics. Remaining repairs estimated to be complete within the hour and PSP Logistics will return to sea. Further update to follow.
CV22 PSP LOGISTICS
After encountering wind speeds of over 30 knots during the first few hours of Race 2, the Stormhoek Race to Cape of Storms, PSP Logistics has reported an issue with its running backstay.
Due to close proximity to Rio de Janeiro the yacht is now returning to port. No report injuries, all crew safe aboard.
Upon arrival the equipment will be checked and repaired as necessary by the Clipper Race maintenance team.
