As a market leader in the global leisure marine industry, Marlow Ropes offers a guarantee of quality, service, commitment, and a brand customers can trust.
Marlow Ropes has partnered with the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race for over twenty years spanning ten editions of the global yacht race. The partnership has enabled the company to showcase their range of cruiser and racer products to sailors all over the world, demonstrating their high performance, durability and longevity. The Clipper Race partnership has also provided Marlow Ropes with the opportunity to test its products in the ultimate R&D setting: a race across the world’s oceans.
In previous editions of the race, Marlow Ropes has used global stopover activation opportunities to invite both customers and prospective customers on board the Clipper Race yachts, to see how the product withstands the arduous 40,000 nautical mile circumnavigation.
As a result of research and development, Marlow Ropes will be supplying innovative, sustainably made and recyclable running rigging for the eleven-strong fleet in the upcoming Clipper 2023-24 Race. Made with 73% recycled or sustainably manufactured raw materials, this will be the first fleet and ocean race where this type of recycled and sustainable rigging is used.
Paul Honess, Sales Director of Marlow Ropes said: "We take pride in our partnership as Official Supplier of lines to the Clipper Race and that our high performing lines and ropes can not only withstand the tough conditions that come with sailing over 40,000+ nm around the world, but also enable each member of crew to develop their boat handling skills and work together as a team to make quick, smooth and safe manoeuvres.
“Thanks to the strength of our ongoing relationship, we continue to test, develop and enhance our cruiser/racer product series, and our sustainably manufactured products, ensuring that they are technically better both for the Clipper Race and for our sailors around the world.”
