Morning all,
We have been moving along nicely for the past 24 hours. The wind is shifting gently back and forth, and slowly built yesterday afternoon so PSP Logistics and ourselves changed from the Code 1 to the Code 2. PSP Logistics went in the morning, then a few hours later we joined. The crew managed a drop and hoist in 6:30 minutes which is a race best. I could hear the cheers from my bunk.
Looking forward, the forecast shows a low to push between the two high pressures that have been sitting over the course. The low is moving quickly and leaves behind a desert of nothing spanning from where we are to the finish in Oban. But this is just one forecast, a lot can change in a few days. Fingers crossed the masses of miles we have been eating up doesn’t slow.
The mood onboard is good, cakes, music, podcasts, laughs and the wind behind us keeping us flat, fat and happy. We have seen dolphins, and a sperm whale appeared between PSP Logistics and us. I’m sure Mr Miller will be able to tell you more about that in wildlife bingo.
Anyway, must get on deck, I think the crew are getting a bit of a speed head on and going for speed over course.
