Hello all, long time no speak. Managing to wrestle the keyboard off David wasn't too tough this time.

It's been 300 days since leaving Portsmouth, 900nm till our round-the-worlders can hold that name proud, and 29 days until Portsmouth. Our homecoming crossing has just started.

There has been lots of excitement since leaving Washington, DC and many have said it's their favourite stopover of the race, which I have to agree. From the welcome Events DC had, to the much-needed break and spending time with family and friends spending time wandering around such a beautiful city. David even got a pedicure, which and I quote, ‘It was quite good you know, getting my feet done.’ I was under strict instruction to not take photos, but I know someone who has one or two.

Race Start was difficult with such light and shifty winds but we got away. Thanks to Phil and Henry for getting that going. We're about 15 hours into the race and have done about five sail changes just to keep BCF going, Yankee, code to wind seeker, and back. We had a beautiful red sunset reflecting off the clouds above as we sat crawling anywhere from 0-2.5knts. It is super frustrating on deck, and I mean head in hands trying not to cry just trying to make the boat go slightly more on course. Some crew pick up on those queues and offer to put the kettle, so I can definitely say I have their support, all in the same boat and that. Pun intended. I will keep pushing until my motivation hasn't been lost.

Love all back home we will be seeing you all very soon,

Maisie, David, and the BCF crew.
