Washington, DC, what a fantastic stopover. The fleet berthed right in the middle of the capital in walking distance of most of the iconic monuments, museums, and the seat of power the White House also the Capitol building a 20 min walk from the dock. With an abundance of public transport options, I especially enjoyed the bikes and scooters available everywhere. I hope the city enjoyed the race arrival and departure as much as we did especially the parade of sail and fireworks, I for sure will visit again.
We are now racing the final ocean crossing of this round-the-world race, thank you Phil Quinn skipper of Qingdao for organizing the Le Mans Start and getting us off to a great start.
