Well, we have just started sprinting, in the lovely frontal weather, rain increased, and wind slowly built, and we passed through a tremendous rain cloud into an absolute lull. The sails flogged and flapped in the large waves as we waited for the wind that we knew would eventually hit.

We saw it coming, and the boat lurched out of the gates like a race start. We accelerated and were up to speed in no time. Since then, we have been keeping up consistent speed, pushing hard to sprint across this patch of water. Given our race position, this is a good opportunity to pick up some points for this race.

Down below, the boat is lumping and lurching around, making every action hard to execute as one has to keep tensing one's body in all manner of shapes to stay in one position, great for the core strength. We are enjoying the fast speed and change of sailing style from the last five days, but also looking forward to this passing over and getting back to some flatter sailing.

Moral on board is good.

On deck chat: If you listen to an audio book, can you say you have read the book?

On deck music: Dubstep or heavy metal (we only listen to this in heavy conditions)

Snack of the day: Chocolate Fredo's (lightly melted)
