The past few days have been a fast, upwind battle at a 45-degree angle as we made our way out of the Caribbean Sea. Today, things changed - the boat went flat as we hit our first wind hole; luckily, we didn't slow for too long! We have had about five headsail changes today as the crew work hard to maximise our speed in the conditions we have. We are slowly making our way up through the islands of Cuba and Haiti, finally making our way into the Atlantic Ocean toward Washington, DC.
Tonight's entertainment for Sunday funday was group charades organised by Ran, where each group acted out a scenario for one person to guess. It certainly provided some entertainment, from being at the zoo with ice cream and gorilla drama, a supermarket heist, and even crew allocation day where Dianne and Jess pretended to be Mike and me. There was a lot of laughter and commitment to the acting, but I don't think we've unearthed the next Tom Hanks or Meryl Streep!
