Hello Qingers!
This’ll be our last blog before getting into Oban; and our last ocean crossing has been a memorable one. Most of the sailing has been fast, stress free and really enjoyable. Watching the miles to the finish drop as the nights get noticeably longer, and the air feeling colder and more fresh.
Now, with just over 200 miles to go, as always, crew start to chat about what they look forward to most about getting to shore. Seeing loved ones, watching the football, a good hearty meal and drinking pubs dry – not necessarily in that order.
But I’m sure for many, especially the round the world’ers, it’s bittersweet. Returning to the UK has always felt so far off, and now as we approach the UK it reminds everyone that their adventure will soon be coming to a close.
As for now, we do what we always do, sail as fast as possible in the direction of the nearest bar.
Love to those at home,
Henry, Phil and the dragon riders
