Hello Qingers!
Here we go! The last race of this Clipper Race adventure (plus perhaps an added small sprint at the end).
All teams are going to be pushing harder than ever as everyone wants to finish with a win. We, of course, are no exception. It’s set up to be a very interesting race with plenty of changeable weather.
The line start was fun, and although we didn’t get off amazingly well, we were clean, and we slowly picked off boats as the evening progressed. The fleet is all still within eyesight which could well be the case for the entire race which just adds to the pressure. One mistake and others can easily overtake.
We’re in a fortunate position where we’re pretty comfortable in the overall standings. It’s not too likely that we drop a position, or indeed gain a position. This takes a lot of stress off and means we can just enjoy the racing. This being said, we’re not too happy with how the race into Oban went so we want to finish on a high. The crew definitely deserves another podium.
Love to those at home,
Henry, Phil and the dragon riders
