Hello Qingers!
Welcome back to Race 14. So far we have had a mixed race, from quite a bad start to getting to the front of the pack.
We have had a couple of days of drifting around, like we’d nothing better to do some lovely sailing. Today, after our drifting, we finally got some wind and as I type we have just passed PSP Logistics to get into third place. Our Isles And Oceans is not too far ahead. The rest of the fleet is only split by a couple of miles, so all to play for.
UNICEF, unfortunately, during the first driftathon, found a bit of wind and disappeared off into the distance. Trust me, we are doing our best to try to catch up, though given how close we have been over previous races I don’t think it will be easy.
For all of the crew this is a bittersweet race, the last race back to Portsmouth and the last of the adventure before a return to normal life. Some may desperately miss it and others may just be proud of their achievement and be glad that they have done it and it's now over.
Either way, they will have made good friends and had a ball.
Anyway, enough from me, talk soon.
Love to those at home,
Phil, Henry and the dragon riders
