With the exception of a gybe and spotting two turtles, today has been uneventful and a very pleasant day sailing. The Medidread Terriers have been hovering on the skyline but went out of sight this afternoon so we are now Billy No Mates, awaiting the appearance of Derry~Londonderry~Doire on our way to the Scoring Gate.
A chance glance at the Ocean Sprint coordinates showed the ITCZ (Inter Tropical Convergence Zone/ Doldrums) right over the top of it!
So far, biasing east seems to have paid off for the Scoring Gate but thereafter it looks quite light and another race phase will begin. Since the commissioning of the new shower, morale has improved and the yacht has an ever present odour of shower gel instead of bilges and diesel.
All good for now,
Cloughy
